General Info

Haengbok Chupungnyeong Kal Samgyeopsal is one of those places in Gangnam that instantly makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Located at 41 Dosan-daero 51-gil in the Gangnam District of Seoul, this pork belly barbeque restaurant blends comforting Korean flavors with a lively, modern atmosphere that appeals to both locals and tourists. From the moment you step inside, the energy feels warm and inviting, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience.

The menu focuses on quality pork, and the standout here is the 허브삼겹살. The herb-infused pork belly is rich, juicy, and grilled to perfection, filling the table with a savory aroma that draws everyone in. Each bite balances meatiness with subtle herbal notes, making it memorable without feeling heavy. Pork belly lovers will also appreciate the pork bally options, which are cooked carefully to keep the texture tender while delivering bold flavor.

To complement the barbeque, the side dishes are just as satisfying. The steamed egg arrives fluffy and comforting, acting as a perfect contrast to the sizzling grill. For something refreshing and bold, the spicy cold noodles bring a pleasant kick, while 냉면 adds that classic Korean coolness that cleanses the palate between bites. These dishes are not afterthoughts; they round out the menu and elevate the overall dining experience.

Beyond the food, Haengbok Chupungnyeong Kal Samgyeopsal stands out for its thoughtful services. The wheelchair-accessible entrance makes the restaurant welcoming to everyone, and the late-night food option is ideal for evening diners exploring Gangnam after hours. The space feels trendy without being intimidating, which is why it shows up often in positive reviews from visitors looking for an authentic yet comfortable Korean dining spot. NFC mobile payments add another layer of convenience, especially for travelers who prefer quick and contactless transactions.

Whether you’re exploring different locations in Seoul or revisiting a favorite neighborhood, this restaurant fits naturally into any dining plan. It delivers genuine flavors, a well-balanced menu, and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to linger, grill slowly, and enjoy every bite.

What customers say?

“ Pork belly is the only meat offered here, and they do it well. Staff will grill it for you, which is nice. Cold noodles was ok. Only hope the queue system (or lack thereof) can be improved. Currently, you have to look for a queue outside, figure out by yourself where the end of the queue is, and then wait. No electronics queue system, no paper to write down your name - just wait. ”

- Wan Ling -

“ Nice place for a korean pork belly in Apgujoeng Area. Long waiting time. Small and full with smoke inside. This restaurant offers only 6 dishes but worth trying them all. 1 pork belly per 1 person might not be enough. The spicy cold noodle is a must try! Fast service and nice staffs. ”

“ There were a lot of people, and we had to wait for 2 hours in the queue. The food was great! A must-try. ”

- balaloom -

“ Good pork grill with soju + beer . Also good service. ”

- Koson P. -

“ A true, authentic Korean dining experience. Recommend the kimchi stew, steamed eggs and of course the pork belly. A must visit if you’re in Gangman. ”

- Thomas J Lunt -

“ Even meat they have is only pork belly but we love it. The quality of it is very good. Cold noodles and egg is yummy too. One menu I didn’t like is kimji soup. ”

- Nutchanok P -

“ Amazing pork belly bbq, the only meat they serve here. You could also get a stew or steamed egg, but if you’re looking for variety, this isn’t your place. 2 servings is enough for 1 very hungry person ”
